Golden Door Charter School was founded in 1998 as one of Jersey City's first charter schools. Located at 3044 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ, our state of the art building serves as a wonderful learning environment to a maximum of 693 students in grades Pre-K through 8th grades. A highly qualified certified teaching and support staff instructs our students. Golden Door Charter School benefits from a highly skilled and experienced leadership team, comprised of the following members:

The school is located in a three-story building, built specifically as an elementary school. The location is leased from the city of Jersey City.

The defining attributes of the school are its emphasis on early literacy and mathematics based on the latest researched-based techniques and strategies, specific behavior models (one for elementary and one for middle grades) and character education, technology, music, art, Spanish, physical education, and health.
